A much needed update

I know I haven't posted lately! Life seems to have taken over and I finally got a second to update my blog.

Santi Mae Designs Blankies and Buhos can be found for purchase at Donatello Flowers and Gifts in Anacortes,
WA and The Rusty Chandelier in Oak Harbor, WA. Baby Icing has sold to Simply Sweet Baby Boutique in Burlington, WA. Currently they do not have stock of my blankies but I will soon get them there! My creations are selling so well I feel so blessed! I wish I could have a picture of each baby with their blankie or Buho!

Another exciting update, is that we are expecting our second child! Due June 8th 2011! Whhooohoo! This pregnancy has been so different, I am sure much of that contributes to me chasing a 19month old around! I am purely exhausted. On that note... I am going to have to limit custom orders. and defiantly at least request at least 2-3weeks notice before completion. I don't want to stop all together, so I am forcing myself to have limits. Being rested at this point is very important to me. I know all those mommies out there will understand. I can't wait to make my own sweet one a special blankie :)

Thank you everyone for your support! It means more to me than you know!
Love Ashley G.

A New Addition to the Family!

After all the excitement, positive feedback, and suggestions... I decided to throw in a twist! Brown! and OWLS! I will still be working with the cream of course (if it ain't broke, don't fix it) But the brown is going to be a great addition, and Hey, for the people that care, it defiantly won't look dirty as fast! The OWLS were something I had been day dreaming (as if I have time for that) about for awhile now. The symbol of the owl goes back to my great grandparents. They were known to us great grandkids as "Grandma and Grandpa Owl". In my eyes the Owl represents wisdom, protection, silliness, grace, and skill. Theses OWLS will bring children entertainment, laughter, security, and comfort. My son is now 13 months old and he is so proud of himself caring his owl around the house since it is nearly his size! Look for the blankies in BROWN and the OWLS at Donatello or Baby Icing soon!!

Avaliability of styles

I am feeling sooo incredibly flattered with all the praise surrounding my blankets! I want to update everyone on the availability of the styles. You can find the "pok-a-dot monkey set," "monsters set," "princess set," and "airplane" at Donatello Flowers and Gifts in Anacortes, WA. And at Baby Icing in Burlington, WA you can find the "Lion," "Ducky," "Fairy," and "Dinosaurs set." As for the rest that are pictured here on my blog...they are a one-of-a-kind and have been purchased for sweet little ones already! So if you see one you like, don't hesitate :)I am currently working on more and I will keep the shelves full at these locations. Soon my website will be up as well!! Thank you!

More New

More!!!

Newest Design! More FUN to be Had!

I am excited to present the latest design of the blankie! A large pocket on the front for all your little ones treasures, or while he is still small all Your necessities (binkies, bottle, rag, rattle, etc). I sew on a large super cute button with heavy duty thread. Another thing for a curious baby to play with. Inside the pocket is a matching tag-a-long blanket a quarter the size as the main blanket! SO great for bringing on errands. The main blanket measure approx. 33in x 41in and the tag-a-long is aprox. 15in x 20in Perfect sizes!

Welcome to Santi Mae!

Welcome to Santi Mae Designs! I was inspired by my 3 month old son's (Santiago James) fascination with tags and labels on items. He was always so content when investigating a tag on a blanket or stuffed animal. I have created this line of fabulous baby blankets to soothe, entertain, and please yous little one. The large size allows plenty of length to swaddle a fussy baby. I have chosen a super soft swirl material for one side and the other is a bold creative pattern of super cozy flannel. My son loves tickling the longer furry side. The ribbon loops around the edge will entertain and keep your baby focused. I have attached a pocket for all your little ones treasures as he becomes a toddler. Inside the pocket is a smaller "Tag-a-Long" blanket perfect for bringing on errands. Finally I have included two plastic rings, which I have found to be SO handy! Used hem to loop through the ribbon and attach the blanket to the stroller so it doesn't end up being drug on the ground. Or use the links to secure the blanket around your shoulders when nursing a great way to keep your little lovey with his two favorite things; Mommy and Blankie! I hope you enjoy these blankets as much as I do! All unique hand-made, one of a kind designs! I will update with locations on where to purchase them! A perfect baby shower gift!
